Wrist Strap Disable Pin

IMPORTANT: This stun gun is packaged with a detached wrist strap disable pin. If you cannot find it, check under all packaging material before throwing anything away. The metal pin attached to the wrist strap must be inserted into the socket on the bottom of the stun gun or it will not operate.

When carrying the stun gun slip the wrist strap around your wrist to benefit from this feature. If the attacker knocks the stun gun out of your hand or manages to take the gun away from you, the pin will pull out of the weapon disabling it so it cannot be used against you. Remove the pin when recharging.

Safety Switch
The safety switch is a three-position sliding switch located on the side of the stun gun. The switch must be in the off position (closest to the base of stun gun) when charging or the unit will not take the charge. Slide the switch up one notch to the middle position to activate the LED flashlight. When you are ready to use the stun feature, slide the switch up to the top position to activate the stun trigger button.

Note: Leaving the gun turned on for extended periods will drain battery power even if the flashlight and stun features are not used.  Always leave the gun switched off until you are about to use it.

Testing the Stun Gun
WARNING: Never test fire the stun gun for longer than one second at a time.  Doing so can burn out the gun and void the warranty. (When in contact with an attacker the gun may be fired for longer durations without damaging the gun.)

To test the stun feature make sure you have the disable pin fully inserted in the socket on the bottom of the gun, then slide the safety switch all the way up to the top position activating the stun trigger button. Keeping your hands away from the metal contacts at the top of the gun, press and quickly release the top button on the side of the stun gun. The gun should spark immediately between the contacts at the top of the gun. If the gun does not spark immediately, it does not have sufficient charge to power this feature and it should be recharged.

Using the Stun Gun on an Attacker
Slide the safety switch all the way up to the stun position. Touch the attacker with both metal contacts and press the top button on the side of the gun. When in contact with the attacker the stun button may be held down continuously as long as necessary to achieve the desired effect. You will not see or hear the spark when the gun is in contact with the attacker.

The attacker will feel the shock immediately but contact should be maintained until the desired effect is achieved. Touching the attacker for less than one second will cause pain and should repel the attacker. Touching the attacker for one to two seconds can cause muscle contraction and minor disorientation.

Touching the attacker for three seconds or longer can cause loss of balance, loss of voluntary muscle control and metal confusion. Contact on the arms and legs will require more time to achieve the desired effect than contact to the torso. The best places to make contact are the base of the neck, just below the rib cage, or just above the hip.

Note: Effects will vary form person to person and takedowns and takedown times cannot be guaranteed.

Using the LED Flashlight
Slide the safety switch to the middle position to activate the flashlight.

Charging the Stun Gun
Make sure the gun is switched off.   Plug the charging cord into the socket at the bottom of the stun gun first and then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet and allow it to charge for 5 hours for a full charge.  It is safe to charge the stun gun every 60 days even if it has not been used.   Occasional test firing (less than one second at a time) will not significantly reduce the battery charge, but extended use of the flashlight or using the gun in contact with an attacker may require you to recharge the unit sooner.   If the spark seems weaker or if there is a delay between pressing the stun button and seeing the spark the gun needs to be recharged.   The flashlight may continue to function even if the gun does not have enough power to spark, so use the spark strength to determine when it is time to recharge.

WARNING: Do not overcharge.  This unit does not have a cutoff circuit and charging longer than 5 hours will damage the gun and void the warranty.  If the gun does not work after a full 5 hour charge, do not continue charging.  Call your dealer for assistance
